GDPR preconditions for generative AI
Developers and users of generative AI must comply with the obligations under the GDPR when processing personal data in generative AI models and/or applications.
This document is particularly suitable for professionals who develop generative AI or want to use it in their own business operations. It can be read independently or as a supplement to The AP’s vision on generative AI.
Consultation
The AP invites organisations to provide feedback on these preliminary GDPR preconditions for generative AI and the associated preliminary AP-vision on generative AI. The consultation is open until 27 June 2025.
