EDPB statement on age assurance
In this statement on age assurance, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) lists 10 principles for the compliant processing of personal data when determining the age (or age range) of an individual.
The declaration aims to ensure a unified European approach to age assurance so that minors are better protected, while respecting data protection principles. Age verification is a category of age assurance.
The EDPB is the alliance of Europe's national privacy regulators. The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP) is part of the EDPB.
